What are the ideal buildings for this solution?

Buildings which have sufficient space (>6m²), latent power, three-phase power, solar and grid mix is ideal, 1 Gbps data connection, good security, and a need for heat.

Does hosting cost me money?

No. We pay for the servers, equipment and maintenance. The utilities we use are metered (water, power) and we pay for this.

How long does it take for me to start?

For buildings, it's typically 1-3 months, which allows for assessing the site, installing the servers, connecting the utilities etc. For homes, usually within 2-4 weeks.

Do I have to supervise or maintain Zai Node's equipment?

No. We handle all maintenance and any repairs. We monitor the equipment remotely 24/7 and complete scheduled physical maintenance.

Do I need to get permits or approvals?

No - this is core to our offer. We use space, power and utilities that are already available at the site. Unless you and we agree, no additional resources or space will be sort. At some sites we may need to work with your power providers to ensure compliance.

Will it make much noise?

No. For homes, it will be nil. For buildings, depending on the number of servers hosted, there may be a low fan sound. Usually the servers are in dead space where no people often are.

Can you explain the heat reuse?

Zai Node uses a heat exchanger to capture the hot air and/or water from the servers. This is separate from your drinking water and HWS. Zai Node can plumb this heat into air, water or equipment as agreed.

Can you explain the water reuse?

Zai Node uses a certified Watermark cooling system which recirculates potable water. This can be used by the host site and we can plumb it to where required.

What about security and data privacy?

Our computers don't store data, they process it. Data cannot be accessed or stolen from the machines. Our equipment is valuable and is securely installed, and fully insured.

What happens if my power, internet or water stop?

We take this risk. You will not be liable to us if this occurs.

What happens if the servers aren't working?

We take this risk. You will not be liable to us if this occurs. Note that your heating from the servers may be impacted, which is why we encourage hosts not to rely solely on this heat source.

What happens if there's a fault?

Our servers are fitted with numerous sensors including physical security, temperature, air quality, air pressure, noise etc. If any of these are outside our safe tolerances, we can remotely shut down the server.

Is there any make good?

Usually we can install the servers without any requirement to change the site like affixing, drilling etc. If we change the site, it will be with your prior approval and we will make good.

Does a host have to buy AI compute?
