Full-time
As an Energy Systems Expert, you'll design and engineer the Energy Management System (EMS) that powers our distributed compute infrastructure. You'll work at the intersection of energy engineering and large-scale GPU compute, keeping our clusters running efficiently, reliably, and sustainably as we scale.
What you'll do
Architect and engineer the EMS controlling power distribution across distributed GPU compute sites
Model and optimise power draw, load balancing, and thermal performance across clusters
Design demand response and grid-interaction strategies to reduce cost and improve resilience
Integrate on-site generation, storage, and backup power with compute scheduling
Work with infrastructure and hardware teams to align energy planning with capacity growth
Build real-time monitoring and forecasting tools for energy usage and grid conditions
Requirements
Background in electrical/energy engineering, power systems, or a related field
Experience designing or operating Energy Management Systems (EMS) or SCADA-type systems
Understanding of grid interconnection, demand response, and power quality in high-density compute or data center environments
Familiarity with energy storage, on-site generation, and load forecasting
Comfortable working with distributed, mission-critical infrastructure at scale
Bonus: experience with GPU/data center power provisioning or renewable integration
Things to know
Power efficiency matters to us as much as compute performance
You'll directly shape how our infrastructure scales sustainably
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role in a fast-moving environment
Benefits and perks
Competitive salary + equity possible
Creative and collaborative workspace
Direct impact on infrastructure strategy
